Welcome to the Dublin Swahili Institute. Dublin Swahili Institute is the first Swahili College to be established in Ireland to promote Swahili language and culture.
If you have been looking for a Swahili course or simply wondering what a language like Swahili sounds like, Dublin Swahili Institute is the place where you can get full courses of Swahili or simply get a taster class, to get to hear the language spoken.
At the Swahili Institute we provide a beginners course, including the complete beginner course. For those who have some Swahili there is the intermediate course and those who want to acquire a more in-depth knowledge we have designated the advanced Swahili course for them. In addition we provide Swahili culture and Literature classes.
The classes can be attended in groups with other people, but also one can request personal classes. It is possible also for a group of people who know each to request their own group class from the institute.
We have vacation and Swahili for special work -course. Young people and children can also learn Swahili with the institute. Parents from East African region can use the institute to provide the children born in Ireland to advance their knowledge of Swahili.
In the education system Swahili institute provides Swahili language and culture taster-classes to all levels of education from primary levels through to university.
In further developments the institute is able to assists schools and colleges develop Swahili Language curriculum.
For those visiting or going to work in the East African Region, as well as learning the Swahili Language, we provide geographical and cultural awareness talks to prepare for the experience in the region at the institute.
